POSITION: Computer Management Assistant, FSN-10 (Position # 100011) OPEN DATE: Wednesday, February 17, 2010 CLOSING DATE: COB, Wednesday, March 03, 2010 WORK : Full time; Saturday to Wednesday (40 hours/week) SALARY: Ordinarily Resident (OR): Position grade: FSN-10, SR. 127,300 – (Annual basic salary excluding eligible allowances). Consulate in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia is seeking an individual for the position of Computer Management Assistant in Information Management Office. Basic Function of the Position Incumbent has the overall responsibility for the management and administration of all unclassified LAN including servers, workstations, peripherals, media, and network components at post. Ensures the proper installation and maintenance of department operating systems and applications on all servers and workstations within the consulate according to establish precepts. Assists users in resolving information technology-related issues. Anticipates needs and defines requirements for automated systems to meet post-specific goals. Qualifications Required NOTE: All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item:
1. Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems (MIS) is required. 2. Required Experience: Four to five years progressively responsible experience in the area of Information Technology and Systems/Network Administration. 3. Language Requirements: Level IV (Fluency) Speaking/Reading/ Writing English. 4. Knowledge/Other criteria: Good knowledge of system analysis and maintenance; computer equipment and software capabilities/ limitations; database management; troubleshooting; documenting technical concepts; standard business and work processes and time management principles. 5. Other Skills: Ability to provide support to the IT user community with an emphasis on customer service; a demonstrated aptitude for dealing with people with a broad range of computer experience; effective written and verbal communications skills.
