Engineering: Positions: Faculty members and Lab Instructors atSchool of Engineering, King Faisal University (KFU). KFU was founded in1975 and is located in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia with itscampus in Al-Ahsa. The campus is fairly close to two other moderncities Al-Khobar, and Dhahran. The climate during most of the academicyear is quite pleasant with temperatures ranging from briskly cool tocomfortably warm, but both Al-Ahsa and Al-Khobar has to deal withextreme heat during June to September. To counter this problem, theUniversity has fully central air conditioned buildings. The School ofEngineering at King Faisal University (Al-Hassa) is the newest collegein KFU and is expected to accept first year students by the beginningof the academic year of 2009-2010. Qualifications: we seek facultyexcited by the prospect of growth in the teaching and research programsof the institution. Qualified faculty is sought at the levels ofProfessor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, and Lecturer forthe academic year 2009-2010 (which starts in September 2009).University instructions are delivered in English. The successfulapplicants will have earned a Ph.D. in the discipline (Master's Degreefor the position of Lab Instructor) from an accredited university andwill meet the qualifications for the rank, capacity to teach at nativecompetence in English, refereed publications or evidence of scholarlypromise, and a commitment to a student-centered approach to teaching.The principal responsibilities of faculty are undergraduate instructionand active research.
